Abstract

Introduction: the evolution of the determinants of chronic noncommunicable diseases predicts an increase in their incidence and prevalence. This would condition greater morbidity and mortality, generating a growing need to use resources of the health system. The Framingham Score and the risk prediction tables of the World Health Organization (WHO) allow calculating the risk of suffering a 10-year cardiovascular event.

Objectives: calculate the cardiovascular risk according to the Framingham Score and the WHO tables in both cases with and without laboratory employment. Compare the cardiovascular risk categories of Framingham and WHO, with and without laboratory data.
