Abstract

A transgender person is one who presents a conflict between their gender identity and their biological sex. Currently, they resort to medical consultation in search of therapeutic options that allow them to adapt their bodies to the self-perceived gender and, among them, cross-hormonal treatment and surgeries for genital, thoracic and facial reassignment play a predominant role.
