Abstract

6 voices in 10 minutes: Experiences in education in Argentina

Therapeutic education in women diagnosed with gestational diabetes (EDUGEST)

This program aims to optimize diagnosis, healthcare quality and treatment of gestational diabetes (GD) in pregnant women, training a healthcare team and implementing a therapeutic education program intended for these women.

  • Materials y Methods: Multicenter, prospective, case-control study on pregnant women diagnosed with GD according to ALAD (Latin American Diabetes Association) guidelines. They have regular medical appointments in Maternity Wards of hospitals located in Corrientes, Resistencia, CABA (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires) and Province of Buenos Aires. Collaboration Agreement between UNNE (National University of the Northeast) Faculty of Medicine and World Diabetes Foundation. (2016-2020).
