Abstract

Obesity is a disease that has multiple causes and a complex etiology. Lately, the percentage of the population that become obese has been increasing, affecting everyone, regardless of the patient’s age. Furthermore, obesity may lead to other diseases like diabetes type II or cardiovascular diseases.

One of the recent discoveries about this topic is the relation between the microorganisms that make up the gut microbiota and obesity2.
