Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that includes multiple intrinsic and extrinsic factors that help maintain adequate glycemic control. The emotional impact in DM is of particular importance, due to the multiple psychological circumstances that destabilize or prevent adequate metabolic control1.

The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, generated worldwide the indication of quarantine, in order to prevent the spread of the virus and protect the health of the population. This situation made people have to stay in their homes, and alterations in mood and psychological state could appear, related to isolation2
