Health work processes can trigger discomforts and complications that are included in the framework of work burnout, which also impact health outcomes. Given the complexity of this topic, it becomes necessary to implement multidimensional strategies.
To guarantee healthy working conditions, the conditions and the working environment, the task, the career, and the salary1 must be considered, in addition to the social recognition of the task.
For a good approach, individual and group devices must be implemented to problematize the affectations and energize the desire in the care production processes, from a dialogical and relational perspective, based on the ethos of care. These processes are carried out through different technologies that could be classified as:
- “Hard” technologies: material resources that they have in their workplaces.
- “Soft-hard” technologies: protocols, procedures and necessary knowledge.
- “Soft” technologies: relational technologies that allow the worker to listen, communicate, understand, establish links, and care for the recipients2.
The evidence shows that "soft" technologies, which make it possible to act on the unique realities of the addressees in each context, are those that allow an adequate use of "hard" and "soft-hard" technologies and, therefore, both achieve the proposed results.
For more than 10 years, in Surcos AC. We apply strategies that allow accompanying teams to address burnout and work stress situations. It is highlighted that what has worked as a support in this complex and unfavorable scenario have been the coping strategies deployed simultaneously at the institutional, group and individual level.
In the new social scenarios that are coming, it is essential to incorporate these strategies in all workspaces and scientific societies can be an excellent promoter for this.
