Abstract

The first issue of the Journal of the Argentine Diabetes Society (SAD) was printed in 1967, during the presidency of Dr. Néstor Serantes, 13 years after the foundation of our Society. Today, shortly after the fiftieth anniversary, we find ourselves in a Society that with an initial number of a dozen members proudly reached its partner close to 2,700, which forces us to place our publication at the height of the circumstances.
