Introduction: diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is an acute and serious complication that compromises the life of the patient with diabetes mellitus (DM). Their mortality has declined thanks to the use of management protocols and the education of patients. The success of the management depends more on the use of standardized protocols than on the field where they are used.
Objectives: to evaluate our results in the handling of 90 episodes of CAD that were handled logically in our service in the last two years.
