Abstract

I am writing these lines clarifying that they are of a commemorative nature and only partially curricular given that my relationship with Guillermo Burlando, who passed away on October 26 of this year, makes it impossible for me to do so in an obituary form.

His joviality and happiness accompanied me for more than 70 years, beginning at the time when we were classmates at the Colegio Nacional Mariano Moreno. The same fellowship continued after our graduation as doctors from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) for a few years in the Olivera Pavilion of the Guillermo Rawson Hospital. And from that moment on we have always remained in contact as friends or professionals until his departure.
