UNICEF's cooperation programme in Argentina seeks to strengthen the capacities of governments at all levels so that they have tools, information and evidence to improve the nutrition of children and adolescents (NNyA), with a focus on rights, gender and equity. In Argentina, as in Latin America, malnutrition problems are the result of deep changes that have affected the food systems and the transformation of food environments towards unhealthy environments that encourage unhealthy eating patterns.
Changes in food practices follow the global trend, affecting the most vulnerable groups, especially those with low levels of education and lower incomes.
