Abstract

Diabetes technology is the term used to describe the hardware, devices, and software that people with diabetes use to control their blood glucose levels, prevent the complications of diabetes, reduce the burden of living with the disease and improve the quality of life. Given its great importance and development, for the first time this year the American Diabetes Association (ADA) includes in its annual supplement "Standards of medical care in diabetes" a chapter dedicated to it.
