Abstract

Obesity is a prevalent disease in Argentina, even from pediatric ages, with a growing trend over recent years in all age and social groups, particularly in those in situations of greater social vulnerability. The Second National Survey of Nutrition and Health (2019) shows 41.1% of excess weight in children and adolescents from 5 to 17 years old, and 13.6% in children under 5 years of age.
